You need an area where you can perform all of your work if you want to start an at-home tailor business. Tailors need a lot of space and have quite a bit of equipment. Don’t forget also that a client will need a private area to try on a dress for altering, instead of in your living room in front of your family.

 

Nevertheless, you won’t need a lot of sewing knowledge to start one of the many sewing jobs from home, just some mending skills and simple marketing.
