Parents Quick Guide to Bakugan

There is a new Japanese Anime game called Bakugan that kids are going crazy for. The story is about the lives of the Bakugan and the battle brawlers who wield them. 51 TV episodes were shown in Japan and it was subsequently put on Cartoon Network in February 2008. It has since been created into a Bakugan game by Sega consisting of metal trading cards and spring loaded miniature action figure. Kids love to play Bakugan and it is a game that parents should not be afraid of their children being interested in as it gives them a way to interact without video games.

The first step in getting started with Bakugan is the purchase of a Bakugan starter pack. This consists of metal trading cards and spring loaded miniature action figures. The pack provides 6 Bakugan, 8 magnetic gate cards and instructions for playing the game. The starter pack is considered a good deal since buying individual Bakugan would cost far more.

Over time your kid will decide what color they will like the best. The starter pack include Bakugan that come in various colors which represents their attributes. Sub-Terra is brown and represents the Earth. Pyrus represents fire and is red. Aquos is blue and represents water, Ventus is green and represents air. The light is represented by Haos and is a white color. Darkus represents darkness and is black.

Over time your kid will choose what their favorite color is and therefore what their favorite Bakugan will be. You will notice which color that your child is more likely to play with. That will allow you be more selective in future purchases of a Bakugan battle pack.

Bakugan is a fantastic game for your kids to get involved with. The kids will utilize skills involving math and strategy. Parents should embrace the game as it will get the kids more involved with their friends and not stuck in front of the TV.
